The arrival of Powder Monkey Brewery in Camden marks a significant revitalisation of the historic Macarthur Stockfeeds site, transforming a heritage-listed space into a state-of-the-art brewpub. To support a fully operational production facility alongside a vibrant beer garden, Stormtech provided a number of high performance drainage solutions. Our systems were designed to handle the heavy-duty demands of the brewing floor while maintaining the safety and sleek aesthetic of the public hospitality areas.
The Production Challenge: Heavy-Duty Environments
In the heart of the brewery, the drainage must withstand high-volume water discharge, thermal shock, and the weight of heavy machinery. We supplied a Custom Class D Grate and Channel system specifically for the production zone. Featuring a Grate Grip slip-resistant surface and an Electropolished finish for superior hygiene and chemical resistance, this Class D-rated solution ensures the brewery floor remains safe and durable under industrial loads.
The Public Space Challenge: Seamless Beer Garden Safety
Transitioning from the industrial brewery to the relaxed beer garden required drainage that was effective yet unobtrusive. Stormtech provided the SD90 and SDiAR-1500mm systems to manage surface water throughout the open-air seating areas.
