A custom-made wider channel with an offset outlet positioned towards the front, as per design/sketch. The overall channel width will vary depending on the flange selected.
MTLF system, where the channel itself functions as the leak control flange as it has 50mm wide floor and wall flanges for waterproofing into. This system is referenced in AS3740 and provides a compliant and reliable solution for wall installations while using a standard-width drain.
The Flexi Flange will allow any standard Stormtech channel to be installed against the wall.

All standard bathroom and outdoor drainage applications (e.g. thresholds, driveways, courtyards, pools) do not require a fall within the channel.
As per NCC 2022 and WaterMark Technical Schedule WMTS 040:2021/22, all Stormtech drains are certified and comply as a Deemed-to-Satisfy (DTS) installation.
If your grates look rusty, this is almost certainly ‘Tea staining’, which is a surface discoloration that can occur on stainless steel drains, especially in harsh environments. It is not covered under Stormtech warranty (see Care & Warranty document, page 8).

To clean light to moderate tea stained grates, use green Scotch-Brite pad and soapy water to scrub affected areas.
Electroplated finishes such as bronze and copper require ongoing care. Over time, these surfaces may oxidise, discolour, or tarnish. Proper cleaning and maintenance will restore their appearance and extend their life.
• • Unlacquered finishes (aged brass/copper, brushed copper/brass) require ongoing oil/wax maintenance.
Each type of decorative finish undergoes a different process, and have different physical properties.
At a glance, powder coat is a baked-on paint-like layer, electroplating is a thin layer of another metal deposited via electronic current from a liquid bath, and PVD is a very thin, extremely hard metallic film deposited in a vacuum.
In terms of performance, PVD and electropolishing are the only decorative finish that we recommend for both indoor and outdoor applications. With regular maintenance, and appropriate care, these finishes will not degrade or tarnish under atmospheric conditions.
Powder coat and electroplate finishes are recommended for indoor use only, where they are only lightly trafficked and aren't exposed to harsh atmospheric conditions.

Electropolished stainless steel is strongly recommended for coastal areas, pool environments and high-salt or harsh conditions, because electropolishing improves corrosion resistance and reduces risk of tea staining.
PVD Coated Stainless Steel provides a durable, high-performance coating bonded at a molecular level.
We do not recommend powder coated stainless steel or electroplated finishes for outdoors, as it would require strict maintenance requirements with regular cleaning (every 3–6 months, more frequently in coastal/industrial areas).
